Born of Anglo-Czech parent, Sue studied first in the Midlands, at Stafford College of Art and Design and at Margaret Street School of Art, Birmingham, and later in London at the Royal College of Art. She has been short-listed Artist in Residence for both the National Gallery and Cambridge University.
Since 1978, she has exhibited her paintings in the UK and abroad and her work is included in the Unilever, Royal College of Art and Wolverhampton City Art Gallery permanent collections. She has paintings in private collections in the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Australia and throughout Europe.
With a keen interest in existentialism, it is not surprising that Sue’s work has a wonderful surreal quality about it. However, at first glace its immediate appearance is reminiscent of a Renaissance work of art.
