Maryse started to paint when she was a child. She studied in the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, and then participated in the Prix de Rome Contests where she specialized in fresco.
Her favourite subjects are space and movement, invoking a future imaginary world.
Her influences are Paolo Uccello and Kandinsky. As these painters did, she recreates the infinitely great and the infinitesimally small, images which can’t been seen in our three dimensional world but which can be evoked through investigating the imagined fourth dimension, time, represented in her paintings by extreme parabolic tensions and contrasted colours.
She also paints realistic art and patterns on fabric for a wider public.
